Dr.Akimov graduated from the Russian State Medical University in Moscow in 2002 and then went on with his training as a resident in neurology at Helth Care Department of Moscow Municipality. In 2004-2007 he did post-graduate study at the Institute of Immunology in Moscow.
He worked as a neurologist at Municipal Clinical Hospital #1 named after Pirogov, at ZIL Hospital, at the Moscow Municipal Center of Multiple Sclerosis.
